About This Project

Brisa Development Partners is serving as development consultant on Sankofa Place at Centinela, a 120-unit affordable housing project rooted in community vision and built in partnership with Linc Housing, Venice Community Housing, and the Social Justice Learning Institute (SJLI). Located in Inglewood, this transit-oriented development (TOD) prioritizes sustainability, anti-displacement, and long-term community benefit, with homes affordable to households earning between 30% and 80% of AMI. In addition to deeply affordable housing, Sankofa Place will serve as the permanent home for SJLI, enabling expanded service delivery and neighborhood impact. The project includes significant investments in active and sustainable transportation, including a new east-west bikeway, enhanced pedestrian infrastructure, and LA Metro ZEV bus service improvements to increase access and connectivity for residents. With this community-driven project, the development team aims to exemplify equitable, neighborhood-scale development in this area of Los Angeles.
