Brisa partnered with Covenant House of California and the County of Los Angeles to purchase and adaptively reuse a historic hotel in the core of Hollywood into transitional housing for youth. All residents will additionally have access to wrap-around services, including mental health support. The building’s historic elements were maintained while the interiors were given a full refresh. The former pool was removed and replaced with a verdant interior courtyard to support resident activation. The previous hotel manager’s unit was converted into service space and a communal kitchen.
