Crenshaw Crossing is a dynamic transit-oriented development (TOD) built around the Crenshaw/LAX Metro Line in Los Angeles. This multi-component project includes up to 827 residential units, a mix of for-sale and affordable housing, alongside ground-floor retail, commercial space, and community gathering areas designed to create a walkable, transit-integrated neighborhood hub. Brisa provided strategic development consulting to help align public and private partners and move this vital project toward implementation.
Significant investments have been made in public realm enhancements: wider sidewalks, streetscape improvements, landscaping, and lighting—all aimed at creating safer streetscapes and active public spaces that connect transit users and residents. The development features sustainability-minded design and supports local economic opportunity through on-site business space and community amenities tailored to neighborhood needs.
Developer-driven, but publicly supported through this TOD model, the project reflects a holistic design oriented toward long-term vibrancy and connectivity. The project officially broke ground in 2024, marking a major milestone for the corridor’s redevelopment and contributing to equitable, inclusive growth in South LA.
