Brisa served as the AHSC consultant for an innovative affordable housing and project in Coalinga, CA. Partnering closely with the City of Coalinga, West Hills Community College District, and the Fresno County Rural Transit Agency, Brisa structured a public private partnership that serves as a model for the future of rural affordable housing development. The AHSC project included new solar charging infrastructure for rural transit vehicles, gap closures in the city’s bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, and a partnership with the Community College district to drive local residents into AgTech coursework. The Coalinga project exemplifies Brisa’s commitment to catalytic neighborhood-scale impact. After award, the Brisa team helped the team with contracting and the lengthy ongoing compliance process.
