Brisa is the AHSC and IIG consultant on Pacific Station North, a 128-unit affordable housing development located in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz. Part of a larger effort to revitalize the former Metro bus station site, the project brings much-needed housing, services, and connectivity to a critical transit hub. Brisa played key roles in coordinating a grantwriting strategy to fund multiple components of the City’s downtown upzoning.
Developed by Eden Housing in partnership with For the Future Housing, Inc, Pacific Station is designed to meet a wide range of local needs, with all units affordable according to state income limits. Residents will have access to on-site amenities such as a community room, computer lab, laundry facilities, and an after-school program for children. Retail and commercial space on the ground floor further enhances the site’s integration with the downtown core. Pacific Station North is a key piece of the broader Pacific Station redevelopment, which also includes Pacific Station South, home to an additional 69 affordable homes, as well as new medical, dental, and retail space. Together, these projects demonstrate the power of Brisa’s long term relationship with the City of Santa Cruz, layering in various disparate grants to create community-scale change.
