When complete, Alveare will be one of the largest affordable housing communities in Downtown Los Angeles. This visionary three-phase affordable housing development in South Park, DTLA will deliver 303 units for families, seniors, and individuals exiting homelessness. Brisa is supporting the development team as consultant, guiding funding strategy and public-sector coordination to bring this 100% affordable project to a historically underserved corridor.
Located at 1405 S. Broadway, the project includes three distinct buildings, each tailored to meet the specific needs of its future residents, and features ground-floor retail and a publicly accessible park to create a welcoming, integrated neighborhood asset.
The project includes major community and mobility investments, such as a $15 million package of transit and infrastructure improvements that will add new sidewalks, bike lanes, and crosswalk lighting to better connect residents with the surrounding neighborhood. Designed with flexibility in mind, the phased approach allows for delivery to proceed as funding becomes available—an essential feature for complex urban infill developments of this scale.
Alveare is being delivered through a public-private partnership involving Related California, Weingart Center, the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles, and the State of California.
